Selection Criteria for 2008 Awards
To receive an Academic Improvement Award, all schools must achieve the following:
- Make significant academic improvement by either -
- Showing at least 7.5 point improvement in state test scores in both reading and mathematics between 2007 and 2008, OR showing at least 15 point improvement in state test scores in both reading and mathematics over 2006 - 2008.
- Show an upward trend in state test results in both reading and mathematics.
